When the teacher sees this, he calls David and makes him stay to clean the desk. David does everything to clean his mess. After cleaning, David's teacher praises his work. And this simple appreciation moves David's heart. Thus, he goes home with delightful heart.

My Brilliant life is a novel that brings an ironic sensation to those who read this book. The heart of the story is the experiences of Areum who tries to grow up mentally while his body races on ahead. He is a voracious reader. Thus even though he ahs never been to school. But his curiosity and love for books help him lean more about the world around him.

The cargo sinks and the only survivor who had able to overboard on a lifeboat is Pi accompanied by a badly injured zebra, a vicious hyena, and an orangutan with a name Orange Juice. Little did he know, there is another creature being with them. Beneath the lifeboat’s canvas lying still the ferocious tiger named Richard Parker.


In that little space, Pi, the hyena, zebra and the Orange Juice are being 
 together for a short while because the hyena makes a scene that put everybody in tension. Hyena eats the Zebra. He turns next to eat Orange Juice. Though the orangutan puts up a good fight, the hyena still wins over her. Pi is badly scared that he may be the next catch. Then, beneath the canvas, a big creature jumps and eat the Hyena. It is Richard P
arker! His presence there puts Pi in greater trouble instead of celebration of 
killing the Hyena.

The story begins with Holden at Pency Prep School on his way to the house of his history teacher, Spencer, so that he can say goodbye. When he arrives in New York, he doesn't go home, as his parents do not yet know that he ahs been expelled. And so, he rents a room at the Edmont Hotel.

He wanders in Central park until the cold drives him to his family's apartment. He sneaks in, still not prepared to face his parents, and finds his 10-year-old sister, Phoebe. She is upset when she hears that Holden has failed out and accuses him of not liking anything. It is at this time that Holden describes to his sister his fantasy of being "the catcher in the rye."


Soon, their parents arrive that makes Holden sneaks away and headed to his former teacher's apartment. But he senses a sexual advance, thus, he excuses himself and go to the Grand Central Station and spend the night in there. In the next morning, he visits Phoebe's school and leaves a note telling his plans. Phoebe meets her during lunch at their meeting place with a packed bag on her back. She wants to go with her brother but Holden doesn't like to include her innocent sister into his troubles.
